The problem with many other photo-realistic resource packs is that they add perfectly smooth textures, symmetrical patterns, and design when in reality, symmetry and smoothness of surfaces are considered artificial and unnatural. BackyardCraft does improve visuals in Minecraft with higher resolution and new textures but it keeps a certain degree of ruggedness. The developer of the resource pack blatantly and truthfully stated that our real world is never that neat and smooth. They are deliberately made to be imperfect. One interesting take about BackyardCraft is that its textures are not as smooth and flawless. BackyardCraft resource pack is one such example of a photo-realistic resource pack that has a few things going for it that makes it recommendable. There is no shortage of photo-realistic texture packs for Minecraft making it rather difficult to pick one to play and stick with it.
If there is one thing that there is plenty of is photo-realistic resource packs.
